Food Bank
All Ages | Tuesdays & Thursdays
The Centre provides food hampers to residents in the local neighbourhood. The food bank is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Residents may access the food bank once per month and are asked to call ahead and provide their MCP number.
Newcomer Services
All Ages | Monday – Friday
Settling into a new community can feel overwhelming. We are here to help. Our friendly staff provide one-on-one support with everything from forms and paperwork to navigating schools, healthcare, banking, and government services. We also offer programming for newcomers to Canada and connect you with local programs and resources to help you feel at home. Services are available Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Employment Supports
All Ages | Monday – Friday
The McSheffrey Resource Centre, through the Community Centre Alliance, has a full-time Community Employment Facilitator on staff to support individuals in reaching their employment and education goals. Services include one-on-one coaching, resume and interview preparation, job search assistance, career exploration, and guidance for those returning to school. Employment support is available by appointment or drop-in.

Family Support Services

Our Family Support Worker, Pennie, through the Community Centre Alliance, is available at the Centre on Wednesdays and Thursdays. She can help with overcoming challenges, connecting to community services, advocating on your behalf, and supporting communication with agencies. Pennie is here to support individuals and families in navigating life’s challenges with care and experience.

Administrative Services
All Ages | Monday – Friday
The Centre offers community members assistance with everyday administrative needs, including printing, scanning to email, faxing, and access to a telephone and computer. Community members are welcome to drop by anytime to use these services.
Tax Clinics
All Ages | Annually
The Centre offers a free tax clinic each spring to help community members complete their annual income tax forms.
